GERIATRIC ASSOCIATES
Geriatric Associates, a practice specifically designed for older adults, opened in 2002 at the Lancaster General Health Campus. The practicing providers have a primary care focus with advanced education and training in the field of Geriatrics. Their nurses and staff have specialized training in the care of older adults.
Services include:
- General prevention and wellness
- History and physical
- Routine gynecological care
- Minor office surgery
- Geriatric consultations
- Advanced directives and long term care planning
- Nursing Home Care at selected local facilities
- Dementia diagnosis and management
Geriatric Assessment Center, located within the practice includes a comprehensive evaluation with the practicing providers. A specific recommendation for care is then shared with the family doctor and the family. Individuals and family members faced with any of the following situations would particularly benefit from an assessment: complex medical issues, memory impairment, multiple hospitalizations, social situations that impact health and consideration of nursing home or other retirement living arrangements. HOME HEALTHCARE
HomeCare Resources provides a single access point for Lancaster General home healthcare services in the Lancaster area, including services provided by VNA Community Care Services and Horizon Healthcare Services. One phone call is all it takes to arrange oxygen and respiratory therapy, infusion and nutrition therapy, skilled nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapy.
HomeCare Resources staff will also research and verify your insurance coverage prior to the start of your services. We will directly bill your insurance provider for you, unless you request otherwise.
