Internal Medicine Hospital Specialists physicians are board certified, residency-trained specialists in general internal medicine. The specialty of internal medicine focuses on comprehensive care for adult patients. Internal medicine physicians provide preventative health care, health maintenance and care for adults with chronic diseases, common and uncommon illness and simple and complicated problems.
Internal Medicine Hospital Specialists care solely for patients who are admitted to the hospital. They also provide hospital care for referrals from family physicians, consultations from other physicians and teach internal medicine to the family practice residents at Lancaster General Hospital.
