Jon Bentz, Ph.D.

Jon E. Bentz, Ph.D., ABPN (Director, Behavioral Medicine Department)—Dr. Bentz graduated from Virginia Tech University. He has been at the Lancaster General Hospital since 1987. He is a member of the faculty at the LGH College of Nursing and Health Sciences and is a clinical assistant professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Bentz is board certified by the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology and is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the American College of Professional Neuropsychology. Dr. Bentz has worked in the medical hospital/physical rehabilitation center setting for over 25 years with specialty interests in behavioral medicine and neuropsychology, dementia, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, headache, posttraumatic stress disorder and panic disorders.

Ed Purzycki, Ph.D.

Edward J. Purzycki, Ph.D., ABPN (Director of Training)—Dr. Purzycki graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has been at the Lancaster General Hospital since 1987. He is a member of the faculty at the LGH College of Nursing and Health Sciences and is a clinical assistant professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Purzycki is board certified by the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology and is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the American College of Professional Neuropsychology. Dr. Purzycki has over 25 years experience in community mental health and medical psychology. His specialty interests include behavioral medicine and neuropsychology, traumatic brain injuries, sleep medicine and dementia.

Richard Moraga, Ph.D.

Richard A. Moraga, Ph.D.—Dr. Moraga graduated from Penn State University. He has been at the Lancaster General Hospital since 1999 having completed his internship at the Henry Ford Hospital and postdoctoral fellowship at the Henry Ford Health Sciences Center in Detroit. He is a member of the faculty at the LGH College of Nursing and Health Sciences. His specialty areas of interest include pain management, behavioral medicine and neuropsychology and dementia.

Marsha Charles, M.S., LPC

Marsha Charles, M.S., LPC—Ms. Charles graduated from the Millersville University Clinical Psychology program and has been at the Lancaster General Hospital since 1986. She is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors and the National Association of Psychometrists, where she served on the board for four years. She is Licensed Professional Counselor. Her primary responsibilities include administering neuropsychological tests and providing biofeedback, relaxation and behavioral therapy for the management of anxiety, pain and stress.
