Routine Conditions Treated

While we treat children in our inpatient Children's Health Unit with a multitude of illnesses and diseases, some of the more common conditions include:

  • Respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, asthma, & pneumonia
  • Gastrointestinal and metabolic disorders
  • Neurologic disorders, including seizures
  • Serious or invasive infections of infants, children, and adolescents
  • Serious orthopedic injuries and related bone and joint conditions
  • Surgical emergencies, including appendicitis
  • Emergency stabilization of critically ill or injured children prior to transfer to tertiary care centers
  • Toxic effects of drugs
