Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States.
But it doesn’t have to be!
If colon cancer is found early enough, survival rates are 90 percent. Colon cancer starts with a growth that is not cancer yet. Tests, such as a colonoscopy, can find a growth before it becomes cancer.
If you are over the age of 50 and haven’t already done so, please talk to your family physician about getting tested for colon cancer. Do something for yourself this year.
