H1N1 and Seasonal Flu Update

H1N1 Vaccine

Roseville Pediatrics continues to have a supply of H1N1 vaccine. We are still seeing cases of H1N1 flu and it is the only reported flu virus at this time. H1N1 vaccine is strongly recommended for all of our patients unless contraindicated. Please call to schedule an appointment. We are also scheduling appointments for children ages 6 months through 9 years to receive their second vaccine. When scheduling an appointment for the second dose of H1N1, there must be at least one month between your child's first H1N1 vaccine and the second H1N1 vaccine.

The seasonal flu vaccine will not protect your child from H1N1 Flu.

Seasonal Flu Vaccine

The CDC has not reported Seasonal Flu strains in the United States as of 1/25/2010.

This is good news because there is still plenty of time to protect your child this year for Seasonal Flu.

We have a supply of Seasonal flu vaccine for children under age 3. We have a limited supply left for children over 3 years of age so please call and schedule an appointment.

For further information on H1N1 please visit the Lancaster General Health Flu Information guide: www.lancastergeneral.org/flu

Thank You, Roseville Pediatrics

Roseville Pediatrics

At Roseville Pediatric, we care for children from infancy through their teenage years. Our physicians are highly trained in many aspects of pediatric care including asthma, attention deficit disorder, immunizations, and diabetes. We excel in caring for both children who are well and those who are chronically ill. We have also incorporated a medical home program which provides care coordination for children with special healthcare needs. We provide solutions, not just medications. A physician is on call 24 hours a day seven days a week and all holidays.

In the event of a potentially life-threatening emergency, immediately dial 911 before calling our office. In the event of a potential poison ingestion, we recommend you call the Poison Center immediately at 1-800-222-1222.
