Triage Nurse

After meeting the greeter, you may be asked to wait to be seen by the triage nurse. The triage nurse is an experienced Emergency Nurse who will assess your medical condition and determine how quickly you need to be seen by the physician.

After your assessment by the triage nurse, you may be asked to wait in our waiting room. The length of your wait is determined by the area of the Emergency Department you are assigned (Fast Care, Main Emergency Department, Behavioral Health Evaluation area), how busy the Emergency Department is at the time, and the number of patients with more serious ailments.
